I always loved the concept of "Less abilities, but more ways to use them". Here we see an example of how it's done in Monstroniverse :D

(Once I played a magician of fire and light for one journey and really learned a lot about (virtually) using this (virtual) magic.)

It was to some extend, two of the girls played vampire characters and the vampires didn't like all the lighting shenanigans. It ended in a fight.
