I guess Gintoki and Takasugi are at it again?

I'm still a bit disappointed in their skirmish lines...

What do you mean?

It's an offensive formation, also used defensively when passing through not-secured territory. See <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skirmisher>, which includes a few images. It's basically what Mo tells Curly and Larry over and over - "Spread out!".

Well, they're in a rush here so nobody really thinks about stuff like formation and tactics right now. Plus they don't even know what they're going to deal with

It's all the more reason to deploy in a way that allows them to protect one another and maintain some semblance of situational awareness. That's one reason for such a formation beyond the merely offensive.

except when you have mages that might want everyone close together to cast protections or you want to stay together to watch each other's backs and keep from being picked off one by one...artillery seems to be somewhat lacking in this area...

nice imagery in these pages, any chance of seeing the clickhide in the lore pages ? (or any other beasties)

@Oldarmorer There is a number of beasts and monsters that are explained more than enough in the comic itself, so I don't feel the need to also include them into bestiary.
I treat Bestiary more more like an addition to the comic, rather than a detached content. Do you think I should?

I'd give a +1 for "yes" :)
The function of Lore/Bestiary as an addition to the comic makes the world "richer" and more thought-out to the reader, at least readers like me (and apparently Oldarmourer) :D But we (the readers) can only see & read what you show & tell us, so, unless you need to keep something a secret, I'd say it would be good to put the info into the Lore/Bestiary. For becoming general info about the world.

Provided that doing that wouldn't be more effort than another page.

Also, if you don't need the secret, you can use a monster in the comic that is already in the Bestiary and don't tell anything about it in-comic, or just mention it in a bubble, like "These Volti again" ^__^

(I see my old nemesis, my inability to write short comments, striking again. Sorry ó_ò)

I like long comments ^^ And I see your point. It's a lot of extra work, but I'll think about it

Maybe instead of two or more pages each update, one and a Beastiary page (if one's available) or maybe once a month (or whenever's feasible) a lore page instead of a comic.

I know I sometimes find the background to a world as fascinating as the comic itself and this is one of those times :)

A lot of the critters and places we see in the lore pages are ones we haven't seen yet.

In some ways that's a tiny bit of a spoiler, but in other ways it's a tantalizing glimpse of what's to come so it balances :)

The articles on magic and races are well worth reading too and add a lot to the understanding of various characters and their motivations.

I always hate to ask an artist for 'more', especially when they do so much now, but if you ever get time to lay out a few background notes, we'll lap those up like a sucker eel at a nude beach ;)

I'll probably do this for several beasts we've seen after the on-going Drawing event, which will probably take a few more weeks.
I usually keep the bestiary notes for the end of the chapter, so they're not spoilers but an optional information for the reader.
Speaking of optional information, Oldarmourer, did you check my lore collection yet? ^^

Starting on Day One ;) why do you think we want to see more ?
