Unlike others, even Rasmiel, who are ready to revolt at the loss of trust, Naros is trapped here. He simply has no choice but to trust her, as he doesn't have neither will nor strength to keep either openly oppose Aurele and to split from her and to continue on his own.
He doesn't know what exactly Aurele is planning. And seeing her killing a person... even worse, a servant of the crown, his realizes that Aurele could effortlessly turn against him, if there would be such necessity.
That's why he, even while displaying mistrust, doesn't go hard on her and doesn't demand all the answers. Just the one that would keep the trust from fading away completely
Thank you. Under that circumstance, one might wonder why he "rebelled a little" at all. Maybe he wanted to give Aurele the option to "gain back" his trust and support instead of having her in doubt of said trust and support?
If I was Naros, I would want to believe her.
Being myself... I don't. Not right now. But I clearly know more than Naros.
