Having had a couple of my vertebrae 'shifted' and another crushed, I can sympathize with him.
Good thing he has her to do the healing, our 'socialzed' medicine decided I wasn't worth the surgery time so every day is a new adventure in "what can I do today without ending up in bed again", but I still pay the same high personal taxes and 15% sales tax for 'healthcare'
The cost for health insurance down there is lower than the tax rate up here and at least I'd have had something done for my money instead of being 'rationed' out of anything helpful.
People really don't seem to understand the difference between the systems...and I DO pay heath insurance fees, several hundred dollars a month, to cover what the socialist system doesn't, like dental and eye care and other services like a hospital room if it's needed instead of a hundred dollars a day to get off the ward.
