I guess he wanted to hit the other eye as well. Hmm, a bit too much movement for a proper hit threre I suppose. Well, let's hope he is quick enough!

Yeah, under such angle and in motion it would be too good to hit the eye directly

Hey new reader here ( sorry for my bad english), just caught up with this comic .... holy shit dude! your comic is the definition of " don't judge a book by the cover " , i don't want to sound rude but when i first saw the banner on "topwebcomics" i thought it was another shitty comic with a stupid plot that doesnt make any sense with characters that behave like players (that don't take the setting seriously) instead of character of the setting... but its the entire opposite , you setting is amazing , i have read through your lore section of the world and its gold tier , " P-monster aside" i could actually see your setting in a RPG tabletop book ( that's how good i see it ) , back to the comic , your characters are sound , they make decisions that make sense in the setting , they have their own agendas and grey morals ( looking at Aurele and the Tamir royalty) and interesting personalities , they are powerfull but not invencible ( aurele vs that assasin), the pacing of your comic is also amazing , i never felt that one scene was boring or being stretched ( even the sex scenes ) , always wanting to known more , great comic you definitely got me hooked in the story

Sorry for the textwall , but if you don't mind me asking , is there divine power in the setting ? i saw no mention in the magic lore of the world , asking this because of the " abyss chasms" they give a very Outer Gods , Great old ones , Cthulhu vibe if not " imprisoned evil entity or deity" with all the bad felling and anxiety that one feel when staring or being close to it ( lol not even the slug people want to stay near it !).

Hey, hehe thanks for the beautiful wall of text! And thank you for checking the comic past the not-so-well drawn first chapters.
Worldbuilding is one of my favorite things in fantasy. I love structure and coherence in stories, so I try my hardest to write Monstroniverse lore in such way that it could one day serve someone as a guide to either write their own stories, RP or even maybe base some games on it. I'd do that myself but... sadly I don't have the skills or time.
Anyway, I welcome you as my new reader, hopefully for long, and welcome to the club of the unfortunate who've caught up to the latest pages. Now you'll have to endure the torture of weekly updates by 2-3 pages at a time. Unfortunately I can't work faster than that :/

To answer your question about the divine and supernatural - I intentionally choose not to explore any of these themes, and plan to keep the question of possible gods, demons, parallel realities, cosmic horrors and all that kind of stuff 100% ambiguous. I love when stories and settings keep a healthy level of that, and hate when franchises go out of their way to explain every single minor detail, killing the sense of mystery in the process (Looking at you, World of Warcraft).
All magic described in the lore archive functions according to strict set of rules and is considered as part of nature. The only supernatural element you could add to it, is, of course, the phenomenon of elemental dreams, the origin of magic. Although, the explanation of how that works and why that happens will have to be left up to your imagination.

I can add one thing though. The abyssal chasms will be explored at some point in the very, very distant future of the comic. But we're talking years from this point, so... yeah, it will take a while.

Ty for the aswer , once a week updates is more than enough for me , ty you for bringing this setting into existence... oh you can bet i will take use your setting or some parts for rpg campaign ( looking at you ruby islands ) . I agree , leaving somethings unanswered is good for the charm of the setting (or to player imagination or GM discretion )

Again ty for the answers , awesome strips as always , good weekend and until next week.
