Oh, how I wonder how this one is going to play out.

Already not as planned ^^

Sometimes I pity insects. Their compound eyes make them see the world like a badly-rendered video game...

Actually they see it better than us. Those clustered eyes combine the picture into one widescreen for them

I was referring to the resolution of images ^^
Darksh1ne 22nd Sep 2020, 9:37 PM edit delete reply
Well, who knows, may be they actually have it in a very high res ^^

I guess they totally don't need the resolution we have. Even if you saw the world as badly rendered video game, if you really want to see the tiniest details, you just fly and land on the object and bring your eyes more than 20 times nearer to its surface than the humans can. (Poor humans actually. They can't see what's behind them...)

I really wonder why this is the Gladiator's choice. Is it that smart that it know it can't win against Aurele, or does it want to take the (apparently) weakest sub-group first, to decimate and terrify the enemy? Or even, kill a few of the enemies no matter the costs, so the group is weakened and they either need to leave the dead behind (as a hint for the hive), or it will slow them down very much, so warriors from the hive can track them down?
Darksh1ne 23rd Sep 2020, 1:22 PM edit delete reply
You didn't mention another option - there are 3 Scrogs who are already making their way towards the Hive and these humans were after them. Stopping them here and now would ensure the 3 scrogs' safety

Ah! Thanks - I lost these Skrogs from my (mental) radar.

(Dammit, so many typos, if the resulting word is a valid one (like "the" instead of "these") the spelling checker doesn't catch it :-( )

A very important detail ^^
