I keep forgetting that people might not always 'get' what pops into my head when I see something...
Especially things from well over fifty years ago...
I guess I should have put the original clip up..The sinking buildings and alarm references might make sense then ;)

There was a whoile series of them back in the late 50's through the 60's, there were 10 or more different titles, they were very popular in Britain, Canada, Australia and the US and they still go on in reruns even today.

'Thunderbirds' was probably the most successful one with several movies made as well as the TV series.

Live action shows fom the same production company included UFO and Space 1999 plus a few more. Space 1999 ran for years, my mother never missed it, but I liked UFO a little better and you can find all the episodes of both on the net, most are on Youtube.

Some of the 'Supermarionation' ones, particularly Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet' are being remade with modern CGI, either as 'fanfic' or actual commercial series, I liked the originals better, but that's just me.

Fantastic work considering the technology of the times and their popularity today shows how advanced they were.

I feel properly educated now. Thank you :)

Wasn't trying to 'educate', just explain the reference like I should have in the first place.

Trust me I didn't put any "negative meaning" into that word, that's just how I see it
